North Carolina's Premier Trophy Trout Stream
Tucked away in the moutains behind Spruce Pine lies North Carolina's best kept fly fishing secret. With the opportunity to cast to 28 inch trout, there is no wonder why anglers call Big Rock Creek a little piece of heaven.
Big Rock Creek Fly Fishing Club is a member’s only trophy trout stream located a few hours from Charlotte, Asheville and the Triad. The club has over 4 miles of pristine water loaded with Rainbow, Brook, Brown Trout and some Small Mouth Bass.
Although the stream is supported by a river keeper, the trout here require great skill. As the saying goes, these fish did not get this large by being stupid. Many of our members have caught both brown and rainbow trout well over 26 inches, while some have caught their fish of a lifetime at the club.
As a member supported club is customary to fish an entire day without seeing another member on the stream. The membership roll is capped at a small number of anglers to keep the stream a peaceful and tranquil refuge away from the stress of everyday life.
There are a handful of memberships available for purchase. To arrange a private tour of the stream please call Joe Willis at 828-766-4639.
